Leaving Kenya July 3rd

It was a somber day. Last visit to the cabin where I passed out photos to the kids and took more. Packed our way too much stuff and set out about 3pm. After unloading at the airport 2 or 3 uniformed young men asked Evans for a lift. I informed them of his General status and instructed them to obey first and ask questions later. Miles, hours, time zones away it feels as though we haven't left. I'm still preparing masala tea for breakfast and will make ugali soon. There's a new soft spot in our hearts for a far far away place.
